Holiday Inn Cikarang Short Getaway

Fiona has the opportunity to cross the suburb border. To a place called Cikarang, around 55km away from Jakarta city center. Roughly a two-hour drive on normal traffic. What’s on Cikarang? Apparently a comfortable Holiday Inn Hotel. Who’s up for a short escape?

The hotel isn’t that far from Cikarang toll exit. I wasn’t paying attention because I was busy with make up haha. But I know it’s not far because we’re turning into the hotel right away. And the lobby took me by surprised. Wait, this isn’t Holiday Inn? The wall behind reception desk is wooden and as I looked around, symmetrical sofas, block pillars and wooden stairs are simply amazing. It was still Christmas mood when I arrived, so they have this Christmas tree from recycled bottle that caught my attention right away. Brilliant. Then the welcome drink arrived, a lemon mix beverage, and the staycation officially starts.
Room is a deluxe with large open windows. Make it even better with pool-view. On the first glance, the area seems pretty with sofa beds by the circular swimming pools. The trees and greens remind me of Bali, unexpected because this actually is a business hotel in Cikarang. 

But let’s ignore the outside world and return to the room for a while. It’s spacious with amazing amenities including table, iron and bathrobe. The bathroom has a joined bathtub – shower, equipped with eco-friendly and paraben-free soap. Must be real comfortable to sit on the bed, watching TV and sleep in the bathrobe, but stomach is growling and it’s time for lunch.

Lunch di Huang’s No Pork Chinese Cuisine
Located right next to the elevator, Huang is the restaurant connected to Delizio. Said to be the favorite, we have the honor to enjoy the food selected by Holiday Inn’s Marcomm Manager, Feby Dilliawan.

Ifumie
So far, these are everyone’s favorite dishes at the restaurant. The meat is juicy, and the ifumie is delicious when combined with the Hainanese Rice. The Chinese food has interesting presentation and great taste. This hotel serves good food so there’s no need to go anywhere else.

Moving on to the spa, which is a comfortable room, complete with bathtub and shower. It’s a one hour oil treatment that got me thinking that this is a serious spa, just like ordinary, non-business hotels. I’m back to the room, feeling relax and fell asleep.
